Pay now, or pay later?

Most facilities will require 100% payment prior to performing augmentation surgery. Your individual surgery may cost higher or lower, depending on the complexity of your particular procedure. In addition to the cost of surgery (including the surgeon, facility and anesthesia fees), there will most likely be additional fees for labs and medications required for surgery. All fees and payment arrangements and options will be discussed during the consultation appointment.

Will my insurance cover the costs of my surgery?

No. Breast augmentation is considered voluntary for aesthetic purposes only. As a rule, insurance companies will not subsidize any portion of your surgery.

Are there risks?

As with any surgery, there is always a small percentage of risk.

Thousands of successful surgeries are performed every week. There is always a small percentage of patients who may experience an adverse reaction to the anesthetic or be affected by postoperative complications such as blood clots, infection or poor healing. These problems can occur even when the surgeon has performed the operation with the utmost skill. Since smoking may interfere with proper healing and aspirin may increase the risk of excessive bleeding, you will be advised to avoid them before and after surgery. No surgeon can offer risk-free surgery or guarantee a perfect result.

How long does recovery take?

In general, you should always avoid strenuous exercise and other activities that raise your blood pressure (including bending) for several weeks after your surgery. It also takes time for the visible signs of healing to subside (such as bruising and swelling). Do not expect to see the final results of your surgery right away. Plan your social activities to allow sufficient time for recovery.
